Rokansaari is one of the finest Saimaa Geopark spots and a popular destination for hiking. You can make a day trip to Rokansaari by canoe or stay overnight. Rokansaari has a public beach and boat harbout, a sauna and Mallu’s café, which is occasionally open in the summer, run by the Saimaa Recreation Area Association. The shortest distance paddled on the Rokansaari route is about 15 km (return trip).
Maps and route guidance are provided free of charge when renting equipment. If you have no previous paddling experience, please book an equipment or equipment and technique briefing with the equipment rental before setting off on your own for safety reasons.
The daily rental period is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can leave or return at any time during this period. We would be grateful if you could indicate your estimated time of arrival in the additional information section of the booking form.
Please note that for safety reasons, we do not rent out single kayaks without an introduction to clients with no previous paddling experience.
