JÄNISSAARI COTTAGE (Fishing hut)
Jänissaari cottage is our modest fishing hut (25 m2) in the peace of a magnificent and small island on Lake Saimaa. Row, paddle or boat to the island (no roads and no bridges) and have a cosy, happy holiday with your family or friends, or in the luxury of your own company! The surface area of the island is about 9 hectares and it is a Natura protected area due to the ringed seals living in the area. There are no other cottages on the island.The cottage can accommodate four people. You will naturally also have access to the wood-burning sauna built next to your cottage.
Hut furniture:
- 120 cm wide bunkbed
- Gas stove
- Cutlery and dishes for 6 persons, coffee-pot and tea-kettle. Frying pan and a pot
- Sauna
- Drytoilet

- barbeque hut
- well for drinking water
- rowing boat opposite side in car parking area.
- No well. You can bring along drinking water in a container or collect it from the well of the cottage on the opposite shore. Or you can buy bottled water 4€/5l. In general, the water in Lake Saimaa is always drinkable, at least when boiled.
Jänissaari is one of our canoeing cabins so during the main season this destination is usually reserved for kayakers. However, you can ask about available times and details by email info@saimaacanoieng.fi or by phone 050 – 548 7653.

100 € / day /max. 4 persons. Extra persons 15€/day
Additional cots: Bed linen 15€/person and final cleaning if needed 70€
