Self-guided paddling tour on Lake Saimaa 2 nights, 3 days
The Katosselkä paddling route is the route of a true paddler who longs for rugged and cabin-free landscapes. The route is challenging, as the length of the second paddling day is approx. 29 km or more, if you are inspired to detour to Katossellä via a longer route. On the Katosselä paddling route, both nights are spent in paddling cabins with saunas. On this trip, a small group does not have to spend time building tent camps, but can carefreely spend the whole day on the water. Along the route is one of the finest paddling waters in our region, Katoselkä, where our only endemic and endangered seal, Saimaa Ringed Seal, lives. On this route, you can also visit four different rock paintings. The route is well suited for paddling throughout the open water season thanks to the warm paddling cabins. Water or sleet rains do not spoil the trip, when you can get into the heat of the sauna in the evening!

Schedule: Departure at 12 and return by 6 pm. Accommodation sites are available after 3 pm and they have to be vacated by noon.
Route service fee: From 205 €/ 1-2 persons + 60€/extra persons (max 4 person). A separate offer can be made for bigger groups.
The route service fee includes:
- Route maps and descriptions
- Accommodation at private paddler´s cabins (2 nights)
- Free parking during your trip
- Daily phone assistance in emergencies from 9 am to 7 pm
- Local information about en-route services, landscapes and special sites (glacial erratics,caves, etc.)
Additional services:
- High-quality paddling equipment for the route, including kayak or canoe, vests, paddles, phone bag, Dry bags for kayaks or equipment barrels for canoes. At least sleeping bags and a change of clothes must be packed waterproof.

- Dry suit for the duration of the trip 75€/person. For safety reasons, a dry suit is mandatory when paddling with single kayaks or open canoes when the water is below 15 degrees
